Glyphosate Research on forest Organisms and Wildlife health
Rodent Sampling Photos
Involving mark, release and recapture, and multiple shifts to check traps in the night, the vole research was arguably the most complicated fieldwork project this summer. Longworth traps were baited with organic apple and packed with cotton bedding, then checked on regularly to minimize the time that voles spent in the traps. All analyses will be performed on the voles' droppings, which were collected from the traps. This data collection is the beginning of a PhD being undertaken by Yaelle Sarid-Segal, under the supervision of Dr. Heather Bryan and Dr. Jeff Werner.
